EVERYDAY EXPECTATIONS
Every human being expects to live:
- A life full of meaning.
- A life full of rewarding service.
- A life full of peace.
- A life full of satisfaction.
- A life full of success and prosperity.
- A life full of knowledge with clarity.
- A life full of fulfillments.
- A life full of confidence.
- A life full of joyfulness and gladness of heart.
- A life full of righteousness.
- A life in which he is able to use his inner power to control everyday happenings.
- A life full of divine experience and presence.
- A life full of wisdom: insight, foresight, understanding, counsel, etc.
- A life full of creativity.
- A life full of appreciation.
- A life in which he is physically fit, mentally alert, morally sound, and spiritually blossoming.
EVERYDAY DISAPPOINTMENTS
Contrary to our expectations of everyday life, many seem bound to:
- A life of conflicts, confusion and uncertainties.
- A life of fear, especially of the unknown.
- A life of disappointments and frustrations, arising from unfulfilled desires (dreams and expectations)
- A life in which God seem so distant and uncaring.
- A life of stress and anxiety.
- A life in which one is at the mercy of tide and fate; an unpredictable life, in which any evil can befall a person any time and anywhere.
- A life of environmentally imposed restrictions, limitations and abandonment.
Therefore, it seems man is incapable of greater satisfaction, hopes remain fantasies, and opportunities for success and prosperity are lost one after the other, with widespread frightening poverty.
Many live a life lacking a sense of harmony, unity of purpose and certainty of goodness. It seems a person is trapped in an endless misery, all which shrinks the life span to a few years, - even a few years of worthlessness. A life, in which a simple problem develops into endless hardship, instead of being solved or prevented at inception.
